The Many Uses of a Bean Frame

This weekend was gorgeous in Cambridge, so I got most of the veggies either planted out or potted on (at least until I ran out of small pots). On Saturday afternoon I finally built a frame for my beans (and then promptly ran out of canes). Within half an hour it looked like this:

We really don't have that much room in the flat!

I salute your resourcefulness, but I won't be really impressed until you manage to make a beanpole out of a clothes rack.

(Actually, that's not a bad little idea...)

In other news, I have a horrible face infection (hooray!) My doctor told me to give up the clinique and get into the soap & water.

My last connection to the heady world of pointlessly expensive consumption... lost, lost, all lost.

My mulch recipe, however, rocks. I haven't watered in days and it's still lovely and moist in there. Newspaper and grass clippings are a go!

I don't know how I got 'the trainee' as a name. Did you do that?

This is Zoe, btw. Not the dang 'trainee'.

Beans climb up ANYTHING! Only problem would be that they like something a bit taller than your average clothes rack. It would be great for peas though ;-)

There is a 'The Trainee' blog, but it seems to be the team behind a short film of some sort. So unless you have a secreat career in the movie industry, I'm stumped.
